Terms of Use
Last updated June 5, 2026
These Terms of Use are Service-Specific Terms for the viggoVet platform. They apply in addition to, and form part of, our Terms of Service (the “General Terms”). If there is a conflict, the order of precedence is: a signed order or DPA, then these Service Terms, then the General Terms, then the Privacy and Cookie policies. Capitalised terms not defined here have the meaning given in the General Terms. The viggoVet entity you contract with is identified in our Legal Entities document.
By accessing or using the platform you accept these Terms of Use together with the General Terms. If you do not agree, do not access or use the platform.
1. Your viggoVet account and access
You access viggoVet through your viggoVet account, which may give you access across the base platform, our own Modules, and connected services. Your account and the responsibilities of account holders and administrators are governed by the General Terms. Some Modules or services may require you to accept additional Service-Specific Terms before use.
2. Modules, marketplace, and third-party applications
The platform is modular. You may enable our own Modules and third-party Modules, and you may connect external tools through our integrations and public interfaces. Your use of third-party Modules and applications is governed by the developer’s own terms and by the third-party module provisions of the Terms of Service. viggoVet acts as a facilitator only and is not responsible for third-party Modules or integrations, and you are responsible for the data you choose to share with them.
3. Use of the API, SDK, and MCP
We provide an application programming interface (API), a software development kit (SDK), and a Model Context Protocol (MCP) interface so you and developers can build on and integrate with the platform. The following apply to all programmatic access:
- Technical responsibility. Integration requires technical skill. Improper use can cause data loss or corruption. You are responsible for designing, testing, and securing your integrations, and we recommend using qualified personnel.
- Permitted use. Use only documented endpoints and features. Do not access undocumented or internal endpoints, exceed authorised scopes, or use the interfaces to circumvent security, rate limits, or access controls.
- Credentials and keys. Keep API keys and credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your keys.
- Developer terms. Building or distributing a Module through our SDK, API, or MCP additionally requires acceptance of our developer terms, and you remain responsible for your application’s compliance, security, and handling of any data it accesses.
- Data protection. Where your integration processes personal data, you must comply with applicable law and our Privacy Policy and, where relevant, the DPA.
API deprecation
We may deprecate an API, SDK, or MCP version at our discretion. On deprecation we will notify you and provide a support window of six months (the “Deprecation Period”), during which we will offer legacy support where feasible, while new features ship only on the current version. We may shorten or withdraw support within the Deprecation Period if required by law, if you breach these Terms or the General Terms, or if we identify a security threat.
Usage and rate limits
Programmatic access is subject to limits such as rate limits, maximum records per request, bandwidth caps, and frequency rules. When a limit is reached, requests may be throttled or temporarily fail. Design your integrations to respect published limits. We may adjust limits to protect the security, integrity, and availability of the platform.
4. Usage limits and fair use
Your use of the platform is subject to the limits of your Account Type and subscription plan, which may include numbers of users, storage, data volume, and transaction or processing caps. If you exceed your limits, some features may be restricted or degraded until your usage resets or you upgrade. You must not use the platform in a way that places an unreasonable or disproportionate load on our infrastructure or degrades the service for others.
5. Email and messaging
Where the platform lets you send email or messages (for example to your clients or team), you are responsible for the content and for complying with applicable anti-spam and electronic-communications laws and our acceptable-use rules. We may monitor sending through automated tools to protect deliverability and system integrity, and accounts with excessive bounce rates or abuse signals may be rate-limited or suspended.
- Mail features. If you enable mail features that record messages at the account level, those messages may be accessible to authorised users according to the permissions your administrator sets. Once an administrator locks such settings, they cannot be changed without administrator approval.
- Notifications. By enabling notifications you agree to receive system messages for tasks, appointments, and operational alerts, at a frequency based on your settings. You can opt out of non-essential notifications at any time in your settings, but not out of essential service messages.
- SMS (where offered). Where text messages are supported, standard message and data rates may apply, and in the United States you can reply STOP to unsubscribe or HELP for assistance. We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by carriers or other technical issues outside our control.
6. AI features
AI features within the platform are decision-support tools and are subject to the clinical and AI disclaimer in the Terms of Service. Outputs may be inaccurate and must be verified by a qualified professional. Consistent with our Privacy Policy, we do not use your data to train AI models, and any operational analytics use only anonymised, aggregated data.
7. Acceptable use and security
Your use of the platform must comply with the acceptable-use restrictions in the Terms of Service. Do not attempt to gain unauthorised access, interfere with the platform’s operation or security, or use it to transmit unlawful, infringing, or harmful content. We may suspend access to protect the platform, our users, or compliance with law.
8. Privacy and data
Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, and our use of cookies in our Cookie Policy. For Service Data processed on your behalf, the DPA applies. You own your Service Data as set out in the General Terms.
9. Changes to these Terms of Use
We may modify these Terms of Use from time to time. For material changes we will give notice by email or service announcement and, where the General Terms require, at least 30 days’ notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance, where permitted by law. If you do not agree, you may stop using the platform and, where the General Terms provide, request a pro-rata refund of prepaid, unused fees.
10. Contact
Questions about these Terms of Use: the contact form at viggo.vet/legal/contact. General support: the support centre at viggo.vet/support. The contracting entity for your region is identified in the Legal Entities document.
