SignalPET with viggoVet
SignalPET reads the radiograph in minutes. viggoVet carries the result into the record, the owner conversation, the procedure and the recheck.
Key takeaways
- SignalPET reads canine and feline radiographs with AI, used across thousands of clinics, with a peer-reviewed comparison against board-certified radiologists.
- The read is the start, not the end. viggoVet carries what comes next: the record, the owner conversation, the procedure, the reminder for the recheck.
- viggoVet does not interpret images. SignalPET does that; the two fit together by design.
What is SignalPET, and what is it good at?
SignalPET provides AI interpretation of veterinary radiographs through its SignalRAY technology, with three levels of report: an Immediate Report for fast AI screening, a Complete Report, and a signed Radiologist Report when a specialist opinion is needed, plus cloud PACS. SignalPET states it is used by more than 2,500 active clinics and 12,000 active clinicians, and interprets about 50,000 radiographs a week.
Its evidence is unusually public for this market. A 2025 study in Frontiers in Veterinary Science, from the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies at the University of Edinburgh, compared SignalRAY with 11 board-certified radiologists across 50 canine and feline studies. SignalPET reports that its AI matched the best radiologist in overall accuracy and stayed consistent in high-ambiguity cases, and that "AI will likely complement rather than replace human experts."
That is the right posture for imaging AI, and the one the American College of Veterinary Radiology asked for in its 2025 position statement: AI used with a qualified veterinary professional in the loop.
What viggoVet adds after the read
- The record. Results land in a patient record with an AI summary of the history, lab results from IDEXX, Zoetis and Woodley, and the documents and notes the case accumulates.
- The owner conversation. For dental cases, AI Dental Chart turns findings into a prognosis and a plain-language letter that explains to the owner what was found and what waiting costs.
- The procedure. AI Anesthesia Assist gives the team an advisory stability or risk read at every vitals entry, checked against the patient's breed, age, conditions and medications.
- The follow-up. Reminders for rechecks, tasks for the team, client chat, and online booking so the owner can book the next visit.
- The road. For mobile and ambulatory practices, AI Remote Booking arranges each day as a route.
