Responsible AI Statement
Last updated June 5, 2026
viggoVet builds artificial-intelligence features into its veterinary platform. This statement explains how we use AI responsibly and how it interacts with your data.
1. AI is decision-support, not a substitute for professional judgement
Our AI features assist licensed veterinary professionals with drafting, summarising, and surfacing information. They are not veterinary advice, not a medical or diagnostic device, and not a substitute for professional judgement. A qualified professional must review and remains responsible for all clinical and professional decisions, as set out in our Terms of Service and the binding AI & Clinical Decision-Support Disclaimer, which covers specific features such as clinical documentation, reports and analytics, real-time patient-status and anaesthesia aids, evidence-based chat, and the drug formulary and dosing tools.
2. Human oversight
AI outputs are presented to a human user who stays in control. We design features so that a person reviews and decides, rather than the system acting autonomously on clinical matters.
3. Your data and our models
- No training on your data: we do not use your personal data or Service Data to train, fine-tune, or develop AI models, our own or third parties’.
- Outputs for you only: when you use an AI feature, it processes the relevant data only to produce your result, and does not feed any cross-customer or general-purpose model.
- Anonymised analytics only: any internal analysis uses only anonymised, aggregated technical data, consistent with our Privacy Policy.
4. Accuracy and limitations
AI can be incomplete or wrong, and may not suit a particular case. You must independently verify any output before relying on it, and use professional judgement and appropriate sources.
5. Governance and transparency
We test and monitor our AI features, seek to reduce harmful bias, document their intended use and limits, and act on user feedback. We monitor and work towards alignment with emerging AI regulation and recognised good practice as it develops.
6. Third-party module AI
AI features in third-party modules are built and operated by independent developers under their own terms. viggoVet does not control them and is not responsible for their outputs or data use.
